What is Dry Ice Blasting?

Dry Ice Blasting is a method of waste removal and cleaning that uses dry ice. The great thing about dry ice blasting is that it is non-abrasive, non-toxic, and it doesn’t create a secondary mess. We use very small pieces of CO2 to break up the waste. As the CO2 does its work, it vaporizes upon impact. So, there’s no need to turn of the electricity in your facility while we work.  There’s also no damage done to the surfaces when using  dry ice. It’s one of the safest, friendliest methods of cleaning! This method is approved by the EPA, FDA, and USDA, and it can be used in AIB- and GFSI-inspected facilities.

Is Dry Ice Blasting Effective against mold?

Absolutely! Dry Ice Blasting gets rid of 99% of mold in wooden surfaces. It’s also great for getting rid of E.Coli, Salmonela, and Listeria.

Who benefits from Dry Ice Blasting?

Anyone who needs a sustainable, non-toxic way of cleaning up. The automotive industry can use dry ice blasting to clean their engine blocks and other components. Maintenance workers can use dry ice blasting to cleanse everything from HVAC units to pipe systems. Even people who need a home or other historic building restored could benefit from this method. After all, it’s a safe non-damaging way to remove mold and other yuck from walls without damaging them. If you have a question, don’t be afraid to ask further!

What can you do for those of us in the Life Sciences?

If you need chemical or waste disposal in the Life Sciences field, then you may find yourself worrying about your very specific needs. Call on AEG Environmental and you won’t have to worry. Our Life Sciences division can handle any concern you might have from decontamination services to laboratory packing services.

You handle Lab Packing?

We do! We can ensure that your laboratory is broken down and transported safely. Making sure that there is no cross-contamination between your chemical components is one of our top priorities. Our chemists start the process of lab packing by taking an inventory of what you have, what you want to pack, and what you want to dispose of. They then make a list of any restrictions for each chemical so that we can ensure everything is handled up to the latest EPA and DOT requirements. Ensuring safe, sustainable, and compliant practices is our top priority.

What makes AEG Environmental different?

AEG Environmental is committed to greener, more sustainable practices that allow for a more effective way of handling waste disposal and environmental management. We work to ensure the highest level of customer service so that you can feel comfortable working closely with us at all levels. We believe in safety, sustainability, and getting the job done right.

Why should we outsource our environmental management?

Outsourcing is an excellent way to save money and maximize on your investment. When you choose to work with us, we can come into your facility with fresh eyes and assess how you can make your systems more efficient and effective. Outsourcing is also great for when you have one job, such as lab packing, that you need handled. You may not need a wide variety of services; so why should you have to pay for them? However, if you do need a wide variety of services without wanting to pay for an in-house team, then look no further. Above all, we offer flexibility with your waste management.

What does your emergency response team do?

When a major hazardous chemical or material is mishandled, there can be a great risk for the workers and pedestrians nearby. When you call on us to handle this event, you are put in touch with one of our incident commanders who can help to minimize damages to property and health. There are three levels of response that you can choose from. Remember, these services are offered 24/7. Emergency spills can happen at any time, but don’t worry. We’re only a phone call away.

    1. Product Assistance

When a small to mid-size facility has a minor spill, we can swoop in and assist in clean-up. The spill is usually under control, but may require more elaborate equipment.

    1. Limited Response

For this level of response, members of our team will come into the situation and assume command. We will guide your employees through the cleanup process. Incident commanders and hazardous materials technicians will be on the scene.

    1. Full Response

When you call in an emergency of this level, a full Hazmat team will be deployed. When you don’t want your workers or personnel to be involved in the cleanup process, this is the option you want. We will handle the entirety of the cleanup and management process from start to finish.

What is waste-to-energy processing?

Rather than adding to a landfill or simply incinerating the waste, we at AEG Environmental can transform the waste into energy. This amazing process is much more sustainable than landfilling. Though this process may have been expensive in the past, our nationwide program has made it incredibly affordable. Believe it or not, this process actually provides electricity for over 2 million homes all over the country. As the practice becomes more popular, we hope to power even more!
